The Bachelor of Arts in Economics prepares students for employment in business and government requiring the tools of economic decision-making and analysis and/or for the pursuit of advanced degrees in economics and related fields or professional degrees such as law.

• Employ marginal benefit-cost analysis as it pertains to business decision-making.
• Analyze the behavior of macroeconomic variables such as GDP, interest rates and unemployment.
• Analyze the effects of policy changes on consumers and businesses.
